Chemical Skin Peels
Over time, the skin’s structure can become compromised from the effects of certain environmental conditions and lifestyle factors.
This can leave the complexion with a dull appearance, as well having developed conditions such as pigmentation, congested pores, lines and wrinkles and an uneven texture.
Ambra Aesthetic Clinic performs light peels and medium depth peels. The type of peel that will be recommended will depend on your specific skin type, and the outcome you are looking to achieve.
Light peels are much kinder and are designed to target the superficial layers of the skin. Effective for anti-ageing and reducing the appearance of acne, gentle rejuvenation can help to produce a youthful glow.
Working on a deeper level, medium peels can successfully address wrinkles, acne scars, pigmentation and sun damage, producing effective cell regeneration through more advanced exfoliation.
After preparing the skin, they will be manually applied in layers, allowed some time to develop before being removed and a soothing after care serum is used.
A series of treatments may be recommended to achieve the optimal results you desire, maintaining regular top-ups for a longer term effect.
Ambra Aesthetic Clinic uses AlumierMD professional peels, containing a combination of natural ingredients (including Salicylic and lactic acid) to stimulate collagen production and encourage healthy DNA repair.
Full results will be visible in around 2 weeks, when you can unveil a youthful, radiant and glowing skin.

ARE CHEMICAL SKIN PEELS SAFE?
It is advised that chemical skin peels should be applied by a trained and experienced practitioner in order to ensure patient safety. An experienced therapist will have the training and the knowledge to administer the treatment effectively for a successful outcome.
ARE CHEMICAL SKIN PEELS PAINFUL?
The skin may feel a little tingly while the peel is developing, but this should not be painful. After the procedure, the next few days may incur sensitivity to the skin, but should feel irritated rather than painful.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS OR RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH CHEMICAL SKIN PEELS?
The skin may experience some slight redness, post-treatment, which usually subsides within a few hours. After a few days you may also experience some peeling of the skin. This can continue for up to 1 week and may be accompanied by some itching. This is a normal side effect and is an indication that the treatment is working. Any rare side effects will be explained during the initial consultation.
WHAT DOWNTIME CAN I EXPECT FROM CHEMICAL SKIN PEELS?
Some patients prefer to consider using the peeling phase of their recovery as a guide to the downtime they wish to adhere to. This process may take around 1 week, starting a few days post-treatment.

Ambra Aesthetics are the place to go to for professional, friendly service. You don’t need to go to Harley Street. Dr M and her team are all experts and really take care of you giving the best treatments and advice. Sam on the front desk is a dream. In lots of places the staff can look scary from doing too much but Ambra you can tell it’s all about discrete subtle tweakments. . Don’t hesitate to go!
