The skin loses elasticity through the ageing process, as the production of both collagen and elastin starts to decline. Most adult men and women will find that as they reach their 30’s or 40’s, this loss will affect the look and feel of the skin, often producing an appearance that looks tired, worn and a little droopy. Although these concerns are often more visible on the face, the body can also be affected.
The Forma treatment involves moving a warm wand over the chosen area, in circular motions. Heat energy is delivered to the deeper layers of the dermis, aiming to reach a maximum temperature of around 43 degrees. A healing response is then triggered naturally by the body which stimulates the elastin fibres. As a result, the skin tightens and new collagen is produced; increasing the levels within.
The results can start to develop from the very first treatment; developing further through a series of sessions – up to 6 procedures is often recommended (1 per week). Improved elasticity in the dermis can help to firm up the appearance of sagging skin, whilst also helping to soften the look of lines and wrinkles. Your youthful new look can also boost confidence and raise your self-esteem.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS OR RISKS?
In most cases, a person will experience redness and slight swelling at the site of treatment. This will usually have subsided within a few days, along with any skin sensitivity that may also be felt.
IS THERE ANY ASSOCIATED DOWNTIME?
This treatment does not usually cause anyone to experience a period of downtime. You should be free to carry on with your day immediately after leaving the clinic.

Ambra Aesthetics are the place to go to for professional, friendly service. You don’t need to go to Harley Street. Dr M and her team are all experts and really take care of you giving the best treatments and advice. Sam on the front desk is a dream. In lots of places the staff can look scary from doing too much but Ambra you can tell it’s all about discrete subtle tweakments. . Don’t hesitate to go!
