A treatment aimed at rejuvenating your skin, PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma therapy) can improve your appearance and restore healthy properties to the skin’s structure.
Working to stimulate cell renewal, a radiant appearance can be restored to the skin, helping to improve conditions such as dry skin, dull skin, scarring and lines and wrinkles.
Changes to the appearance of our skin can result from the process of ageing and environmental factors we experience throughout our daily lives. Ageing causes our skin to become weak and lacklustre as natural processes combined with lifestyle habits cause the development of lines, wrinkles and dull skin. By rejuvenating the appearance and achieving a more youthful look, a radiant glow and any lost confidence can be restored.
The procedure involves taking some of your own blood, separating the fluids and other impurities from the enriching proteins by being spun in a special machine and then injecting the protein rich platelets back into the treatment area. By using substances from your own body, it will be totally suited to your own DNA make-up, ideal for encouraging healthy regeneration of tissue and cells. The fine injections will stimulate the skin’s natural healing process, rejuvenating and repairing the chosen area for improvement.
Improving the appearance of scars, dull skin, lines and wrinkles, dehydration and uneven skin texture, PRP can deliver dramatic results, encouraging collagen production for added volume and hydration to the features.
A comprehensive consultation can outline the conditions that PRP will be effective for, ensuring the outcomes can revitalise the skin for a more youthful and radiant complexion.Book a Consultation

Frequently asked questions
Am I suitable for PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) therapy?
If you are affected by the signs of ageing, including lines and wrinkles or uneven skin texture, then you may be suitable for PRP. A thorough pre-treatment consultation will take a detailed look at your conditions, recommending the best course of action for you. This Treatment is likely to be suitable for all skin types as it uses products extracted from your own body.
Is PRP a safe treatment?
This treatment will have medical approval and is performed by Ambra Aesthetic Clinic’s highly skilled and trained practitioners. Patient well-being is always given much consideration and excellent levels of safety are always upheld.
Is PRP painful?
This procedure takes the necessary steps to ease any discomfort for the patient. An appropriate numbing product will be used when extracting the patient’s blood and fine needles are used in the actual PRP procedure itself, aimed at reducing sensitivity. If the patient wishes, a numbing cream can be applied around 20 minutes prior to the treatment to eliminate any pain that may be felt.
Are there any risks or side effects associated with PRP?
The treatment site may incur some slight redness, sensitivity and small bumps from the injection. This usually settles fairly quickly following the procedure, and any remaining redness can be covered using make-up if the patient wishes to do so.
What downtime can I expect from PRP?
The patient may need to allow for any redness to settle, but apart from this, no downtime is usually experienced. There should be very little disruption to the patient’s day, leaving them free to continue with normal daily activities.
